The IOSH Continuing Professional Development (CPD) programme requires its members to complete a minimum of 30 hours of activities per year, recorded through an online tool. The programme includes formal training, seminars, conferences, workshops, e-learning, and self-directed learning. Members can choose from IOSH and external courses such as those run by EBIS. The CPD cycle consists of four stages: plan, do, reflect, and record. Members are encouraged to plan their CPD activities based on their professional development needs, complete them, reflect on what they have learned, and record their activities. The online record provides a summary of CPD activities, which can be used to demonstrate professional development to employers or regulators. Learn More |

Knowledge sharing and learning is a key component of what we offer and a reason for people joining IIRSM so, while we provide many opportunities for professional development through our webinars, events, resources and volunteering opportunities, we trust that by qualifying for membership and being an active member of our community, you are partaking in professional development. Our members have risk-related qualifications and/or relevant risk management experience. We do not require you to track your continuing professional development (CPD) activities with IIRSM to be a member, but we encourage the development of your professional practice. IIRSM Fellows are required to send evidence and records of CPD as part of the application and renewal processes. For Fellows on a multi-year membership, we will also ask for confirmation that CPD is being maintained on an annual basis. Learn More |
